On this edition of Your Call, we speak with activists about the Poor People’s Campaign.
Over the past six weeks, members of the Poor People’s Campaign have marched on the capitals in almost 40 states, calling for an end to systemic inequality, poverty, racism, and the war economy. Over 2,000 people have been arrested. This Saturday is the 50th anniversary of the culmination of the original Poor People’s Campaign, led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The campaign will mark this day with a Stand Against Poverty Mass Rally in Washington DC.
