City Visions: What's on the San Francisco ballot?

iStock/Palto

October 28, 2019: Next Tuesday, San Francisco voters go to the polls to vote on a slate of city officials -- many of whom are running unopposed -- and ballot measures that address housing, campaign finance, e-cigarettes and taxes on Uber and Lyft rides.

One of the more controversial races is for San Francisco District Attorney. It was supposed to be the first race in 100 years without an incumbent running, but three weeks ago, Mayor London Breed appointed candidate Suzy Loftus to the interim DA role. Is this a move that will help or hurt Loftus? Will San Francisco vote in favor of more taxes and bonds to build housing and improve MUNI?
